"If you confuse, you'll lose. Noise is the enemy, and clarity is the key to growing your business."— Donald Miller
We live in a world of noise. Every day, people are bombarded with ads telling them to buy this product, try that service, or switch providers because “we’re better.” So, how do you break through all that noise and actually connect with your ideal customer?
The answer isn’t more noise. It’s clarity.
Here are three key questions to help you bring clarity to your marketing:
1. What problem are you solving?
People buy products and services to either thrive or survive. In other words, they are looking to avoid pain or pursue a gain. If your message doesn’t clearly identify the problem you solve, they’ll scroll right past it.
2. How does your product solve that problem?
Make it simple. Example: Problem – I’m hungry. Solution – You own a restaurant that serves really good food. It doesn’t have to be clever. It just has to be clear.
3. What are the results?
Tell people how their life will be better after doing business with you.“You’re no longer hungry. You’re full and satisfied.”That’s the transformation people want to see.
Clarity isn’t just a part of your marketing strategy—it's the foundation. If your business isn’t growing the way it should, the problem might not be your product or service. It might be your message.
So let me ask you again:
What problem do you solve?
How do you solve it?
What does success look like for your customer?
